What is Flag Cities?

Flag Cities is a series of high-energy fan festivals celebrating the soccer matches taking place at MetLife Stadium. Each event features live entertainment, food trucks, shopping vendors, interactive soccer activations, family-friendly programming, and a large-format LED screen airing the match of the day.

What soccer matches will be airing at each event?

Each Flag Cities event will broadcast the official match taking place that day through approved public viewing authorization.

Will there be live music and entertainment?

Yes. Each event will feature a live band and a DJ, along with cultural programming, soccer-themed activities, and interactive experiences.

Will food and beverages be available for purchase?

Yes. A curated selection of food trucks and vendors will be on-site offering a variety of food options.

Alcoholic beverages will also be available for purchase. Diageo is the official alcohol sponsor of Flag Cities, and beer and wine will be served. Guests must be 21 years of age or older with valid identification to purchase and consume alcoholic beverages.

What are the security policies?

The safety of our guests is a top priority. All events are gated and ticketed.

  • Entry will occur through designated security checkpoints.
  • Bags are subject to inspection.
  • Strollers are permitted.
  • Outside food and beverages are not permitted.
  • Additional prohibited items may be posted prior to each event.

Security personnel and local public safety officials will be present throughout the event.

 

Flag Cities Event Policies & Security

Security Screening Required Prior to Entry

For the safety of all guests, all attendees entering any Flag Cities event site will be required to pass through designated security checkpoints prior to entry. This includes magnetometer screening and bag inspection. Please allow additional time for entry and arrive early.

By entering the event, all guests consent to security screening of their person and belongings. Event organizers reserve the right to deny entry or remove any guest at their discretion.

Ticketing & Entry
• All sales are final. Tickets are non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-exchangeable. Event is rain or shine.
• Valid ticket required for entry at all times.
• No re-entry permitted. Once you exit the event site, re-entry will not be allowed.
• Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Security & Safety
• All guests are subject to security screening, including magnetometer screening and bag checks.
• Security checkpoints are required for all attendees prior to entry.
• Event organizers reserve the right to refuse entry or remove any guest for unsafe, disruptive, intoxicated, or inappropriate behavior.
• Law enforcement, EMT personnel, and private security will be present onsite throughout the event.
• Guests must follow all instructions from event staff, security personnel, police, fire officials, and emergency responders.

Prohibited Items
• No outside food or beverages
• No outside alcohol
• No weapons of any kind
• No illegal substances or hazardous materials
• No drones or unmanned aerial devices
• No fireworks, explosives, laser pointers, or flammable items
• No large bags, oversized backpacks, or coolers
• No pets, except trained service animals as defined by ADA guidelines

Permitted Items
• Strollers are permitted and subject to security screening.
• One (1) lawn chair or one (1) blanket per person permitted at Overpeck Park, Laurel Hill Park, Riggins Field, and Bayonne locations only.
• Small personal bags are permitted but subject to inspection.

Food & Beverage
• Food and beverages, including alcohol, must be purchased inside the event and consumed only in designated areas.
• Alcohol service is subject to all applicable laws and policies. Valid identification is required.

Code of Conduct
• Guests must behave respectfully and responsibly at all times.
• Disorderly conduct, fighting, harassment, vandalism, throwing objects, or failure to follow event policies may result in immediate ejection without refund.

Photography & Media
• By entering the event, guests consent to photography, video recording, and use of their likeness for promotional, marketing, and broadcast purposes without compensation.

General Conditions
• Event organizers are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items.
• Event details, entertainment, schedules, parking, and site operations are subject to change.
• In the event of severe weather, public safety concerns, or emergency conditions, event operations may be delayed, suspended, evacuated, or canceled at the discretion of event officials.
• Accessible accommodations will be available in accordance with ADA requirements.

How do I get to the event? Is parking available?

Each Flag Cities event location will list the recommended modes of transportation and available parking options on the website prior to the event date.

We strongly encourage the use of public transportation, rideshare services, and walking where possible. Parking availability and guidance will vary by location and will be clearly communicated in advance.

Flag Cities Jersey City – June 12

Christopher Columbus Drive (between Marin Blvd. & Washington Blvd.)

  • PATH service to Grove Street Station, located just steps from the event site
  • Hudson-Bergen Light Rail nearby
  • NJ TRANSIT bus routes servicing downtown Jersey City
  • Ferry service to Paulus Hook/Exchange Place area

  • Limited paid parking garages available throughout downtown Jersey City
  • Rideshare strongly encouraged

NJ TRANSIT/ PATH

  • PATH to Grove Street Station is the easiest option from NYC, Newark, Hoboken, and Journal Square
  • NJ TRANSIT bus service available throughout Jersey City and nearby transfer hubs

 

Flag Cities Bergen County – June 14

  • Attendees are encouraged to utilize off-site parking at 40 Fort Lee Road in Leonia and complimentary shuttle bus service
  • NJ TRANSIT bus routes serve the Overpeck Park area

Laurel Hill Park- walking distance from Secaucus Junction Rail Station

  • NJ TRANSIT rail service to Secaucus Junction Station strongly encouraged. There will be complimentary shuttle buses and walking routes from Secaucus Junction to Laurel Hill Park
  • Rideshare encouraged

Parking

  • Off-site parking lots with shuttle service will be available

NJ TRANSIT

  • Secaucus Junction is one of NJ TRANSIT’s largest regional rail hubs with direct access from throughout New Jersey and New York City
  • Guests are encouraged to take NJ TRANSIT rail directly into Secaucus Junction and continue via shuttle or walking route

Are tickets transferable or refundable?

No. Tickets are non-transferable and all sales are final. Tickets are non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-exchangeable. Event is rain or shine.

Is the event accessible?

Flag Cities events are ADA accessible. Guests requiring accommodations are encouraged to contact us in advance so we can assist appropriately.
